Some members are not eligible to hold certain volunteer leader positions due to conflicts of interest. See the charts below regarding chapter leadership board and congregational position eligibility. Elected and appointed leaders and congregational coordinators must be
benefit members or associate members (age 16 or older) of Thrivent Financial
for Lutherans. Also, chapter leaders and the three congregational coordinators
at each congregation must be from different households. ("Household" is defined as the members who live at a single residential address.)
1 Family members = spouse, parent and/or child. 2 All members of a congregational coordinator team and all members of a chapter leadership board must be from different households, except for the Thrivent Builds Chapter Specialist and the chapter advisory positions. 3 Sales agents not with Thrivent Financial who sell mutual funds, life insurance or annuities and their family members or employees are not eligible for chapter leadership board positions, congregational coordinator positions, or Thrivent Build positions. These positions have access to proprietary member listings and other information about Thrivent Financial, and therefore are excluded from eligibility in a volunteer leadership role with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. 4 Must have approval of the managing partner. 5 President, vice president, records director, congregational service team director, financial director. 6 Community service team director, assistant financial director, communications director, events director, youth director. 7 Assistant Financial Director, or any other optional chapter board leader with access to the regular chapter checking account, is NOT eligible to serve as the Thrivent Builds Chapter Specialist.
