Typical Trip Week
Your Thrivent Builds Worldwide El Salvador Community volunteer trip week

Friday
- Plan to arrive at the San Salvador airport around noon, where youll be greeted at the airport by the Habitat for Humanity El Salvador staff.
- You'll then be transported to your hotel where you'll meet your teammates and learn the logistics of the upcoming week in a thorough orientation session.
Saturday
- You'll be taken to the job site where a construction orientation will be held with local Salvadoran volunteers.
- Return to your hotel for dinner and a Thrivent Builds team meeting.
Sunday
- You'll worship with a local Lutheran congregation.
- Following the service, your team will enjoy an outing to Lake Coatepeque.
- Back at the hotel, you'll have free time and dinner.
Monday
- A full day at the build site. Enjoy a traditional Salvadoran lunch.
- Have dinner at the hotel followed by a team meeting.
Tuesday
- Another full day at the build site.
- When you return to the hotel, you'll enjoy a cultural activity and dinner out at a local restaurant, followed by a team meeting.
Wednesday
- After a day of working, you'll enjoy a late afternoon intercultural activity at the build site before returning to the hotel for free time, dinner and a team meeting.
Thursday
- You'll have time to clean up after your day at the build site before enjoying a cultural activity and local flavors at a restaurant, followed by a team meeting.
Friday
- After packing your bags, you'll leave for the final day at the build site.
- Enjoy a farewell lunch at the site and return to your hotel.
- Depart for an enjoyable weekend activity (lodging and meals are included in all weekend options).
Saturday
- You'll experience fun, relaxation and local culture on your team's chosen activity.
Sunday
- Check out of your hotel and say your final goodbyes to El Salvador.
- Transportation is provided to the airport.
