Your Thrivent Builds Worldwide Gulf Coast Experience volunteer trip week

Monday - Arrive in Biloxi, MS via the GulfPort/Biloxi International Airport. You'll be greeted at the airport and transported to Yankie Stadium - special volunteer housing provided in cooperation with the Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity of the Missisippi Gulf Coast (HFHMGC). If you choose to drive, you'll be given directions to Yankie Stadium. There will be an orientation meeting that evening to help prepare you for the week, as well as a group dinner.
Tuesday - You'll work with other volunteers - and maybe even alongside partner families - to build homes with HFHMGC all day. After your build day, you'll return to Yankie Stadium for a group dinner and a relaxing evening to get to know your fellow volunteers.
Wednesday - After building all day, you'll eat dinner with your group at Yankie Stadium and learn more about the impacts of the hurricanes in the Mississippi Gulf Coast area through videos and discussions.
Thursday - Build during the day. Take a tour of the area to see how the hurricanes have affected it - and how Habitat has helped rebuild. Then enjoy a taste of the south at a local restaurant and reflect with your group on what you've experienced.
Friday - This will be your last day building on the jobsite. In the evening, you may have dinner with a partner family, participate in a home blessing or see a dedication.
Saturday - You'll check out of your volunteer housing in the morning, then be transported to the airport for your trip home. You'll be returning with many fantastic memories of your experience to share with family and friends.
